Specialized measures to defend against identity-related fraud
Protection for Minors

Theft of a minor’s identity and related crimes perpetrated against children are some of the most insidious variants of identity theft. Minors are particularly vulnerable as fraud perpetrated against them can take years to detect. IDProtect has included a component in its Personal Identity Management Program specifically to address this issue.

Fraudsters normally use a child’s personal information to apply for credit — creating a credit file with few restrictions. If your child has been victimized, our fraud specialist will work to remove fraudulent entries. Once the credit file has been purged, it will then be suppressed until the child reaches adulthood. Restoration reduces the likelihood of erroneous information, which would otherwise impact the child’s future ability to secure legitimate credit.
